Our McCoy heads are based on the Buick style head, however that's where the similarity ends. The Liberty McCoy heads exhibit superior air flow characteristics with smaller port cross sections. First class Aussie engineering using intelligent pattern design, use of the highest quality MIL spec alloy, generous deck thickness combined with super precise port, bowl and chamber design is a great place to start on a winning cylinder head.

At Liberty Speed we have an ongoing development programme. Before we offer any race part for sale, the concept of that race part would have begun at least 12 months earlier. We have systems in place to develop 3D drawings, carry out element analysis and infinite computer modelling along with race proven experience during the design stage. The finished head, then sees endless hours of flow bench work to optimize all fluid dynamics, followed by practical dynamometer testing. Finally the head will advance through our race test program and further evaluation, long before any sales promotion occurs.

Symmetrical Ports (in/ex/in/ex/in/ex/in/ex) Eliminates the troublesome centre exhaust ports when used for Blown applications. Regular Chev designed heads typically blow head gaskets between their centre exhaust ports.
